Christmas 2008

Wow! I hadn't realized how long it had been since I blogged last! Christmas was busy, but good. We tried to get Santa pictures, but Carter would not sit on Santa's knee...he would wave to him from afar, but that's it! When we got up to leave, he even said "Bye Santa!" So then a couple days later, we tried to go to JCPenney to get some pics and nope - he was not having that either. We ended up only buying a few pictures because we couldn't get any of him looking at the camera and smiling. Maybe it is the terrible two's! We had Christmas at my family's on Christmas Eve and then Brandon's on Christmas Day. Carter got a lot of toys of course! Other than that, things are going pretty good. Carter is growing so much. He is pretty much able to have a conversation now. We still can't understand some of what he says, but for the most part, we can figure it out. They pick up on so much! A few months ago, we were doing something and he heard one of us say "damn it!" and now he says that every now and then. And he even says it at the right times too! It's so hard not to laugh when they do stuff like that. Brandon is still off of work. He had an EMG test which was to show that there is nerve damage where they thought it was. But, then his doctor said that the only other thing he knew to do was surgery. That got a big fat NO! We do not want to go that route. So, he's been trying to get into this place in Plano - a Back Institute. Hopefully they can do something - give him an injection or figure out what to do. He really just wants the pain to go away and to get back to work. My temp started at work who will be taking over my old job so that I can fully transition to my new one. She is nice and will do great I'm sure. Anyway, here are some pics from the holidays.

Oh, and one more thing...my child says "Walmart" when someone says Merry Christmas...I have no idea why! Here is a video.
