Down with the Sickness

Saturday before last (1/5) I took Carter to the doctor. He had started coughing Friday and Friday night we were up most of the night because he had a fever of 101. The doctor said he had RSV. For those that don't know, that is Respiratory Syncytial Virus. It is just like a chest cold virus, but I think if it gets really bad (and in younger babies) they have to be hospitalized. So it kinda freaked me out when he said that! But he said it has been going around here a lot. In fact, one of the ladies at work said her little baby has it too.
So we did breathing treatments and prednisone (a steroid for his lungs) for a week. That was fun. And then this past Friday, he had diarrhea all day, wouldn't eat anything, and was all stopped up and fussy. So I called the doctor and she said it was all a part of that RSV and could last 2-3 weeks! Woah! So then Saturday night Brandon and I both woke up with the stomach stuff. So we were all sick all weekend! It was bad. We both stayed home from work Monday to recoop. And I'm glad to say that we are all better now!

Awww, poor little guy! RSV is pretty commone in Utah during the winter, and it can be dangerous if parents don't catch it soon. And little babies/kids are most suseptible--so I'm glad you guys got him medicine! :) (that sucks that you were laid up with issues though! :(
