Big Buck Down!!!

A couple of weeks ago, Brandon shot the deer he had been looking for! He was so excited. It is the biggest deer he has ever taken, plus it has a small drop tine. A drop tine is a part of the horns that grows down instead of up like the rest of them. It doesn't happen very often, so it is pretty neat.

Carter got an infection on his leg somehow last week. It was a really red and hard spot that kept getting bigger and bigger. It doesn't seem like a coincidence to me that it is the same spot as where he got one of his shots a few weeks ago. So, the doc put him on antibiotics and the spot is just about gone.

We got an awesome deal on a new Christmas tree. We had decided to get a real tree and heard that Lowe's usually has the best selection. So we went to look at them and could not decide on one. So we went over to the fake trees and they had one on display that we liked. I really didn't want to fork over $98, but they all seemed around that price no matter where we went, so I relented. But then we couldn't find the same tree in a box anywhere. We asked someone and the display was the last one they had. They ended up selling us the display for $36! 75% off! And they gave us a box too. Woohoo!!! We got it all decorated and then ended up having to move all the ornaments up and block off the tree with chairs so Carter wouldn't mess with it. I was scared he would knock it over on top of him.

Hopefully I will have something to blog about before Christmas, but if not, everyone have a wonderful Christmas! Remember - Jesus is the reason for the season!!

I didn't really want to look closer at the deer head--but I had to see what the drop tine was.

Glad Carter's leg is better too and that's freaking AWESOME that you got the box for yoru display tree was welL! That practically never happens when you buy display stuff! I'm all for over 50% off seasonal items. . . tyler knows : )
