It's the Petersen Family

Welcome to the Petersen family blog! My name is Leslie and my husband is Brandon. We have a 9 month old son named Carter Raymon. We have been married for 5 years and just bought a new home. It is an awesome house and we are so excited to not be in the "ghetto" any more! I'll post pictures of the house as soon as I get my computer unpacked and set up. But a brief description...4 bedroom, 2 bath, 2 car side entry garage, 2000 square feet, and...a pool! We live on a corner lot, which is awesome as well. And Brandon has met a lot of our neighbors already and they are so nice! We even got a freshly made batch of chocolate chip cookies from one!

Let me just list several of the reasons we are glad to be out of our old house and into the new one.

1) Our new street is not Texas Motor Speedway. Seriously, on the old street I could hear cars all night long going at least fifty miles per hour(the speed limit is 30 mph). And these are not small, quite cars either. They are loud monster trucks.

2) Our next door neighbors. They are deaf. Now, don't get me wrong, I have nothing against people who are deaf. However, these people seem to have no concept of how loud they are to people who are not deaf. For example, why did they feel the need to change a flat tire at 11:00pm in the front driveway? Our bedroom window was right by their driveway, therefore, when the man was banging the hubcap (with a hammer?) he woke us up! Also, why did the woman feel the need to yell at the other family members outside all ours of the night?

3)Our neigbors across the street. The house across the street was actually the house I grew up in, so it was near and dear to my heart. When the new owners moved in, they proceeded to start painting the dark brown trim a bright red/orange color.............................and they never finished. They literally painted half of the house! And to date, it has stayed that way for 2 years. Also, we have seen them more than one time lighting up a doobie out in their cars parked in front of the house. Brandon beleived (from the volume of traffic coming and going from their house) that they were dealing drugs.

Oh, and one more thing. We moved from a 936 square foot home to 2000! Whoohoo!
