It's All Good!

Good News! Brandon's procedure went really well Friday. He was extremely nervous and anxious though, so they had to give him more medicine to make him go to sleep. The doctor said he has what is called a "shotsky's ring." This is a narrowing of the esophagus where it meets the stomach. It can also spasm, which can cause the chest pain that Brandon was feeling. The doctor said that a lot of people have this so there is no need for concern. He did stretch the esophagus out though, so hopefully that will help. He also gave him some different medicine for the acid reflux and the spasms. I'm so glad that he did not have a hiatal hernia or anything else bad! I know he is releived as well. Thanks for keeping us in your thoughts and prayers. :D

YAY!! "investigative procedures' suck--but I'm glad it all turned out ok!

And serisouly, if acid reflux is ANYTHING like 9th month heart burn, my heart goes out to the guy! : )
